Marketing Manager

Client: Inventorium
Location: Bangor
Salary: £32,000

The successful candidate will have a critical role in Inventorium, in developing mediated communication with our stakeholders in print, electronic media and face to face. The job will involve travel in Wales and in the south eastern region of Ireland to organise and deliver events and associated out-of-hours working.

Key Responsibilities•To develop and implement the Inventorium project’s on-line and face to face communication and marketing strategies
•To develop and edit project’s publications and make active contributions to the on-line publications
•To seek out and gather information on activity in relevant sectors with a specific reference to the regions
•To support the organisation of symposia and workshops on the application of state-of-the art digital technology to creative product innovation and design
•To develop and manage a database of stakeholders and relevant interested parties
Number of Years Preferred Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in journalism, event management or public relations or similar.

Essential Skills
•Degree in an appropriate discipline
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Editing skills
•Excellent copy writing skills
•Knowledge and experience of web content management systems (CMS), Microsoft office tools, blogging software, RSS, twitter etc.
•Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
•Experience in marketing, public relations and events management and client acquisition
•Experience of project management with ability to work on diverse projects, meet deadlines manage inter-dependencies and work as part of a team
