Job Description - IT Engineer

Gaia Technologies Plc is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Microsoft Engineer who is a flexible team player to join our busy IT Department.

Working 36.25 hours a week, the post holder must have a current driving licence, be willing to travel , work overtime if needed and be willing to learn in a fast moving environment. Must be MCSE qualified with experience in Microsoft Exchange and in designing and implementing Microsoft based networks in business and/or the education environment. The role will also require experience in wireless networking (CCNA, or a higher Cisco qualification is desirable.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and social skills, and a professional attitude towards paperwork and dealing with customers.

NETWORKING/WIRELESS INSTALLER

We require a Networking/ Wireless installer. You must have experience of surveying and installing cat5e networks and fibre links. (or Ideally candidates must have prior experience & knowledge of installing structured cabling.). The ability to install audio visual systems, for example ceiling mounted projectors, would be a definite advantage. The work will be nationwide on various sites. Applicants must be prepared to work some unsociable hours, sometimes being away from home. The position requires someone who is polite, helpful and customer focused; resourceful and hardworking, who can work on their own initiative or as part of a team, with good communication skills and the ability to remain self-motivated and focused.. The work will occasionally be heights using ladders or a cherry picker. IPAF certification, CSCS card will be an advantage. Basic knowledge of computer networks . Working knowledge of MS windows based applications systems. Must hold a valid driving licence.
