Job Description / Summary
The company provides secure operating systems and middleware for embedded devices such as smart cards, mobile phones and payment terminals.

This position is open in the company’s North Wales office you will work with the development and test teams to prepare and coordinate security evaluations of the company’s smart card products, following several international standards such as Common Criteria and FIPs, as well as industry-proprietary schemes such as Visa and MasterCard approvals.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team including software engineers, test engineers and security experts, you will drive the certification process of the company’s platform and Java Card applets, serving as an interface to the many actors involved in the process: partners, sponsor, evaluation laboratory and certification body.

You will also contribute to some of the technical tasks involved in a security evaluation, such as: defining the security requirements on smart card products, participating in risk and vulnerability analyses of embedded software, discussing appropriate countermeasures with the development team, developing programming and administration guidelines for improving security, etc.

Required qualifications and experience
At least a Master or Engineering degree in computer science, or a related field Minimum three years of experience in selected areas of expertise (see below) Experience in project management and customer relationship is a plus.

Required skills
Acknowledged competence in at least two of the key areas of expertise (see below) Communication and management skills Editorial and presentation skills in English.

Key areas of expertise
Smart cards or embedded devices (hardware or software) Java Card™ and open platforms Security certification (ITSEC, Common Criteria, FIPS, Visa, MasterCard) Basic knowledge of the development of embedded systems
